It is said that zen originated with the Buddha giving the Flower Sermon, where he silently held up a flower. This is it. A teaching outside of beliefs and doctrines. This very moment is the path and goal.
Ultimately, this work is one of engagement. Meeting this life wholeheartedly.
It is working with all our emotions, even the so called negative ones. It is taking responsibility for what is ours to take. It is about deepening insight and trusting one's intuition.
Moving from belief to practice. From passive observer to engaged participant.
Waking up to the nature of our self conditioning. Growing into the person who is willing to be vulnerable because they know that is our true nature if we are to be in harmony with life. Finally, showing this person to the world through our behavior, our livelihood, our relationships, our lives.
